Bonnie Carol Boyd Hamilton, 80, of Wallingford, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at the Hospice Care Center in Maysville.
She was born July 20, 1935, at Trinity, a daughter of the late Edgar Lee and Achsa Jane Osborne Boyd.
Bonnie graduated from Tollesboro High School as the class valedictorian in 1953 and later lived in Norwood, Ohio, where she worked and raised her five children. She and her family moved to Louisville in 1972 and she later resided in Lexington, where she worked at Paul Miller Ford and Simplex, before moving to Mt. Carmel in 1999.
Bonnie enjoyed working as a teller at Peoples Bank in Flemingsburg from 2000-2014. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ermen, Harry and Burnett Boyd; and three sisters Sydna, Wilda and Jean.
Survivors include a brother, Don Boyd of Seltzer, Pennsylvania; three sons, Chuck (Angie Brant) Hamilton of Wallingford, David Hamilton of Louisville, and Douglas Hamilton of Louisville; two daughters, Sydonna Sue Wilson of Louisville and Elizabeth Jane Radmacher of Wallingford; nine grandchildren, Melissa (Todd) Siegel, Mark Radmacher, Chris (Jennifer) Hamilton, Elizabeth (Danny) Minton, Ashley (Aaren) Oeswein, Nicholas Hamilton, Stephen Wilson, Skyler Wilson, and Savannah Radmacher; 11 great-grandchildren; her beloved cousin, Phyllis Stanfield of Burtonville; and her beloved niece, Alice Nute (Rick) Bailey of West Union, Ohio.
A memorial service to celebrate Bonnie’s life will be held at Barbour and Son Funeral Home in Tollesboro at Noon on Tuesday, April 26, with Rev. Michael Comer presiding. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
