A Maysville man is in custody following a traffic stop that resulted in his arrest and the recovery of several items that had been stolen during burglaries around the area.
Deputy Bryon Walker said Deputy Matt Sparks was on patrol Friday when he noticed an auto traveling on the AA Highway near Vanceburg with a tire that was nearly flat.
It was determined the driver of the vehicle was wanted for questioning in Mason County and was a suspect in burglaries around the area.
Walker said the traffic stop was made just east of Vanceburg on the AA Highway.
Other deputies, along with members of the Vanceburg Police Department, were in the area to provide assistance, if needed.
