Steve Thomas Dunigan, 62, of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday evening, May 31, 2017, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.
He was born November 1, 1954, in Mason County, a son of the late Thomas “Tink” and Dorothy Johnson Dunigan.
Steve attended Community Full Gospel Church and enjoyed camping, hunting, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Steve is survived by his wife of 21 years, Marsha McClurg Dunigan; four sons, John Dunigan (Melissa) of Peebles, Ohio, Denny Applegate (Andi) of Foster, BJ Applegate (Sarah) of Vanceburg, and Frankie Applegate (Leann) of Glasgow; three daughters, Stephanie Biddle of Versailles, Jana Doyle (Bobby Joe) of Tollesboro, and Julie Doyle (Corey) of Flemingsburg; 23 grandchildren; one brother, Mike Dunigan (Pat) of Vanceburg; and three sisters, Linda Toller (Lee), Debbie McCann (Harold), and Deloris Tully (Darrell), all of Vanceburg. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kirsten Applegate; and two sisters, Brenda Toller and Rita Faye Dunigan.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Dickerson Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Grayson and Bro. Josh Wright officiating. Burial will follow in McClurg Cemetery at Concord.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, and after 9:00 a.m. Sunday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Pallbearers will be Frankie Applegate, BJ Applegate, Denny Applegate, Bobby Joe Doyle, Corey Doyle, Jeremy Tully and Tim Tully. Stephanie Biddle, Jana Doyle, and Julie Doyle will serve as honorary pallbearers.
