Lewis County Judge Executive Todd Ruckel has appointed Travis Patton as interim Emergency Management Director. Patton will serve in the position until a full-time person is named. Lewis County Fiscal Court ratified the appointment during a regular meeting for the magistrates on Monday.
Carl Chaney, who had held that position for 19 years, was dismissed April 4.
Ruckel said Chaney’s dismissal came about as the result of an investigation being conducted by the Kentucky State Police.
