Pansy Riddle

Pansy RiddlePansy McElroy Riddle, 88 of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday June 18, 2016, at The Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.

Mrs. Riddle was born September 30, 1927, at Trinity to the late Bruce and Eva Frye McElroy.

She was a Lewis County landowner, farmer and homemaker. She was the oldest living member of Sand Hill Christian Church and was so dedicated that she walked to services each week.

Survivors include her longtime friends and caregivers, Elston Mason and Joyce Nolder both of Vanceburg; her special friend, Helen Berry; and a host of extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Riddle; and an uncle, Arthur Frye, with whom she was especially close.

Services for Pansy Riddle were at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at East Fork Christian Church with Charlie Hampton officiating.

Burial was in East Fork Christian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tony Henderson, Junior Staggs, Randy Mason, Brian Coleman, Lee King, and Bubby Highfield. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Nash, Steve Taylor, Frankie Highfield, Junior Walker and Donald Applegate.

Brell and Son Funeral Home in Maysville was in charge of arrangements.
