The Lewis County Board of Education has named Donald W. Pace as acting/interim superintendent.
Board Chair Bryan McRoberts said the appointment is pending contractual agreement.
Pace is a former superintendent of Clark County Schools and has served as short-term superintendent for districts in Mason, Campbell and Montgomery counties.
The appointment came during a special meeting of the Lewis County Board of Education on Tuesday.
