The National Weather Service has confirmed that a weak tornado briefly touched down at May Hollow on Friday evening.
Lewis County Emergency Management Director George Sparks said the NWS has confirmed the brief tornado, with maximum estimated winds at 75 mph, was on the ground for about a quarter-mile resulting in damage to an outbuilding and several trees near the AA Highway at May Hollow.
