A man convicted in the death of a Tollesboro woman in a 2014 auto accident has requested shock probation.

Frank E. Miller, 41, of Tollesboro, appeared in Mason Circuit Court before Judge Stockton Wood to make the request.

Miller was sentenced in December, 2015, to eight years in prison for second-degree manslaughter for the December 16, 2014, death of Joan Elaine Bailey, 51, of Tollesboro.

Miller was also sentenced on a charge of DUI in connection with the accident.

The accident happened on the AA Highway near Maysville Stockyards, 2.3 miles east of Ky. Rt. 11.
