Deputy Bryon Walker is investigating an apparent accidental shooting Saturday afternoon near Garrison that seriously injured a 14-year-old boy.

Walker said 911 dispatchers were notified of the incident about 2:30 p.m. Saturday on Bill Chain Road when the father of the youth called to report it.

Walker said Kaden Lawhorn had been handling a 9mm Cobra derringer pistol on the front porch of his home when he reportedly dropped the firearm and it discharged.
