Charles Reeves

doveCharles O. Reeves, 83, of Lexington, formerly of Vanceburg passed away at 1:51 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2016, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington following an extended illness.
Charles was born in Flemingsburg, May 6, 1933, to the late Kelly and Ruby Stine Reeves. In his earlier years Charles traveled with a Christian Quartet called the Eastern Gate.  He was an accomplished organist and pianist and a former member of the Vanceburg United Methodist Church.  He also worked for the Lewis County Herald in advertising and was manager of Baker’s Department Store in Vanceburg.
Surviving Mr. Reeves is a daughter, Rebekah L. Reeves of Lexington;
son-in-law, David Wachter of Lexington; one granddaughter, Ruby Madeline Wachter of Lexington; one brother, Jim Reeves of Chillicothe, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Debbie Reeves of Chillicothe, Ohio.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was a brother, Goebel Reeves.
At the family’s request there will be no services.
A memorial service will follow at a later date .
Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg is in charge of local arrangements.
