Bevin joins Kentucky Colonels in launching online nomination form

Gov. Matt Bevin and Lynn Ashton, executive director of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, Monday announced an online nomination form for requesting Kentucky Colonels. The new form includes a field where the recommender can list the nominee’s service in a charitable organization or acts of community service.
“Each year, Colonels in all 50 states and 36 countries combine their resources to support non-profits that improve the lives of Kentuckians,” Bevin said in a state news release. “Kentucky Colonels are servant leaders that are dedicated to the well-being of their community in a way no one else can be. They touch the lives of those who need it most throughout the Commonwealth, including people and families in our communities. Kentucky Colonels enjoy a rich tradition and history, and we hope that this renewed focus on community service helps revitalize the spirit of giving within the Order.”
