Betty Jo Tackett Bloomfield, 77, of Bucyrus, Ohio, formerly of Garrison, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born July 20, 1939, in Russell County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Glenn and Carrie Johnson Tackett.
Betty was of the Baptist faith and loved coming to Kentucky, yard selling, going to flea markets, playing bingo, and spending time with her family and friends.
Betty is survived by four sons, Charles Timothy Bloomfield, Michael Bloomfield and Jimmey Bloomfield, all of Bucyrus, Ohio, and Elvis Bloomfield of Garrison; four daughters, Carol Howard and Brenda Evans, both of Bucyrus, Ohio, Joyce Howell of Marion, Ohio, and Sandy Bloomfield of Mansfield, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Homer Tackett of Sandy Hook, Carlos Tackett of Garrison, and Glenn Tackett Jr. of South Portsmouth; four sisters, Ester Johnson of Paris, Martha Skidmore and Nellie Thurman, both of Garrison, and Eliza Ferguson Sparks of Vanceburg. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Charles Richard Bloomfield; three sons, Roy Bloomfield, Ron Bloomfield and Robert Bloomfield; one grandson, Andrew Bloomfield; two brothers, Eddie Tackett and Ben Tackett; and two sisters, Emily Jean Younts and Thelma Jones.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. Clarence Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue in Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Chris Bloomfield, Tommy Howard, Dustin Beck, Marvin Howell, Nathan Cox, and Jeff Dyer.
