Ashley Cooper

Ashley Kellyn Butler Cooper, 35, of Laurel Creek Road, passed away Tuesday morning, April 13, 2021, at St. Claire Healthcare Center in Morehead.

She was born December 14, 1985, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a daughter of Duane and Pamela Wolfe Butler of Vanceburg.

Ashley was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, mother and friend. She had the most beautiful smile that could lighten up your soul. Ashley was a pharmacy technician at St. Claire Healthcare Center in Morehead and enjoyed being outside, home on the farm, mushroom hunting, and spending time with family, especially with her daughter, Maleah. Ashley loved whole-heartedly and was such a loving and compassionate person. She was always smiling and exuberated a vibrant life. Ashley will be missed by so many as we struggle to go on in life without her. All she ever asked was that everyone remember the good times, and that she is in a better place.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one daughter, Maleah ”MeMe” Cooper of Vanceburg; one sister, Deidre Lykins (David) of Vanceburg; her fiancé, Derek Williams of Vanceburg; her paternal grandfather, Raymond Butler; her maternal grandmother, Alma Wolfe; and special nephews and niece, Dylon Rister, Jaxon Rister, and Rowyn Lykins. She also leaves many other family members and friends that will sadly mourn her passing. Her love lives on through us all.

Services will be at Noon Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix with Bro. Jason Caudill officiating. Interment will follow in Smith-Gilliam Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until Noon Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 7975 Lower Kinney Road at Camp Dix.
