Sudie Mae Bennett Polley, 96, of Tollesboro, passed away Sunday morning, October 9, 2016, at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born March 7, 1920, in Lewis County,  a daughter of the late Mordecai Andrew and Oney Pearl Fry Bennett.

Sudie attended Evans Chapel Church and was as a homemaker. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, caring for others, collecting bird figurines, and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Wilford Roy Polley; four sons, Donnie Polley, Hobert Polley, Emory Polley, and Roy Delbert Polley; three grandchildren, Curtis Dale Polley, JoAnn Hartley, and Tammy Lynn Polley; three brothers, Richard Bennett, Harold Bennett, and Samuel Bennett; and two sisters, Patty Brooks and Thelma Adams.

Sudie is survived by one son, Joe Polley of Tollesboro; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Brooks of Nevenna, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Services will be Noon Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro.Ronnie Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Muses Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until Noon Wednesday, October 12, 2016, Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
