A Tollesboro man was taken to the hospital Tuesday after the auto he was operating collided with a truck at Dugan’s Curve, about a mile east of Vanceburg.
Deputy Gary Sparks said a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse, operated by Thomas Haywood Cooper, 24, of Tollesboro, was traveling west on Ky. Rt. 8 at about 11:00 a.m. and as the vehicle entered the curve Cooper lost control and his vehicle spun around. The right rear of the vehicle collided with the front of an eastbound 1995 Chevrolet 3500 truck operated by Harry Carrington, 53, of Vanceburg.
