LCSO is conducting a death investigation

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after deputies responded to a call Thursday morning, August 25.
Sheriff Johnny Bivens said deputies and ambulance personnel were dispatched to a location at Slate Hollow near Vanceburg Thursday where they found an unresponsive male.
Bivens said David Michael Brown, 39, was pronounced dead at the location by Lewis County Coroner Tony Gaydos.
Bivens said the death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.
Arrangements for Mr. Brown are under the direction of Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg.
