Jesse Stacy

Jesse Stacy, 67, of London, Ohio, formerly of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at his home. He was surrounded his family and friends.

Jesse was born May 30, 1954, at Vanceburg, a son of the late Thelma Maxine King Polley.

Jesse was a retired machinist and a 1972 graduate of Lewis County High School.

Jesse was raised in the Christian Baptist church and loved the Lord. He loved having his grandchildren close and took every opportunity to stay up to date on all their activities. Jesse really enjoyed sports and was a loyal Kentucky Wildcat fan for both basketball and football, even convincing his Ohio grandchildren to cheer for Kentucky. Sam and Lucy always had PaPaw’s back and would cheer for the Wildcats when everyone else was cheering for Ohio State. Jesse was happiest when he was surrounded by his family, telling stories and enjoying each other’s company.

Left behind to cherish Jesse’s memories are his wife of 45 years, Brenda Bradford Stacy, whom he married in 1976; one daughter, Amanda (Russell) Greene of London, Ohio; one son, Shane (Joy) Stacy of London, Ohio; a sister, Vickie (Don) McBrayer of Hilliard, Ohio; two brothers, Tony (Sandy) Stacy of Sabina, Ohio, and Shawn (Angela) Polley of Kingwood, Texas; five grandchildren, Samuel Greene, Lucy Greene, Bennett Stacy, Gabby Litchfield, and Izzy Litchfield, all of London, Ohio; his nieces, Lisa (Rob) Cloud, Charity and Faith Stacy; and his nephews, Shawn and Nicholas Polley, and Orville “Bud” Underwood. Many other family and friends also survive who will mourn his passing.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Stacy, and a sister, Shirley Underwood.
