Jeretha Louise Ginn Kinney, 82, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday morning, May 8, 2016, at her home.
She was born February 10, 1934, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Leland Woodrow and Bertha Mae Harris Ginn.
Jeretha was of the Baptist faith and had worked for US Shoe Corporation in Vanceburg for 16 years. She enjoyed cooking, listening to bluegrass music, square dancing, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Willie Charles Kinney; one son, Willie Charles Kinney Jr.; two brothers, Phillip Ginn and Newell Ginn; and two sisters, Betty Ginn and Judy Kay Miracle.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Thomas and Brenda Kinney, Ronnie and Carmon Kinney, and Mark Kinney, all of Vanceburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Gordon Gilliam of Vanceburg; two grandchildren, Amanda Gilliam and Dylan Kennedy; three great-grandchildren, Chloe Kennedy, Diesel Kennedy, and Braden Kennedy; two brothers, Bobby Ginn of Tollesboro, and Donnie Ginn of Vanceburg; and two sisters, Dottie Edwards and Sue Lewis, both of Vanceburg. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Arthur Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas-Kinney Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016, and until the service hour on Wednesday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
