Crash at Heron Hill results in only minor injuries

A Vanceburg woman has received relatively minor injuries as the result of a single vehicle accident this morning on the AA Highway east of Tollesboro.

Deputy Gary Sparks said the accident happened about 7:30 a.m. and involved a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pick-up.

Sparks said Harlie Riker, 21, of Vanceburg, was traveling west on the AA Highway near the top of Heron Hill when she reportedly felt the pick-up begin to slide and turned the wheel to the right. The pick-up went off the right side of the roadway and overturned onto its top in the ditch.
