Countdown is on for solar eclipse

A much touted solar eclipse is headed our way and will arrive locally Monday afternoon, August 21.

The eclipse will be seen across the United States in varying degrees.

A 70-mile wide swath from Oregon to South Carolina will be treated to “totality.” That’s the area where the sun is completely blocked out by the moon and that area will include a portion of Western Kentucky.
