Members of the Lewis County Board of Education met in regular session with members getting a look at the draft budget for the 2016-17 fiscal year.
Treasurer Joe Kennedy said the budget totals $21,674,339.23 but does not include the special revenue fund (grants).
“The special revenue fund will be included in the tentative budget to be approved by May 31,” Kennedy said, adding the special revenue fund budget will probably be about $3 million.
The current (2015-16) budget is $26,211,083.21 and includes about $900,000.00 for the bus garage replacement project which will not be included in the 2016-2017 budget.
