Beuford Lee McCormick, 66, of Tollesboro, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016, at Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.

He was born December 2, 1949, to the late George Thomas and Nettie Bertha Blankenship McCormick.

Mr. McCormick was a US Army veteran having served in Vietnam. He attended Hickory Grove Church and was retired from CSX Transportation after 34 years in the engineering department.

Mr. McCormick is survived by his loving wife, Janet Lucille Tumlin McCormick; four daughters, Tammy (Tim) Conley of Mooresville, North Carolina, Shonda (Sam) Richmond of Emerson, Jessica (Wes) Fetters of Leesburg, Ohio, and Janice (David) Hickerson of Fleming County; a brother, Donnie (Ruby) McCormick; two sisters, Rose (Alan) Merritt and Phyllis Gregory; a sister-in-law, Janet Ginn McCormick; eight grandchildren, Tyler Conley, Devan Conley, Adam Davis, Keri Davis, Dustin Fetters, Ethan Fetters, Noah Hickerson, and Jenna Hickerson; and a great-grandchild, Ava Conley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence McCormick, Sammy McCormick, and Willie McCormick; and a sister, Helen McCormick.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Hickory Grove Church at Tollesboro with Bro. Charles Emmons and Bro. John Lewis officiating.

Entombment will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak with full military honors accorded. Casketbearers will be Tyler Alexander Conley, Devan Allen Conley, Adam Michael Davis, Dustin Blake Fetters, Noah Scott Hickerson, and Ethan Lane Fetters.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Hickory Grove Church.

Arrangements are under the care of the Barbour and Son Funeral Home in Tollesboro.
