The Black Oak Volunteer Fire Department
has added a new truck to its fleet, which will aid the department should any fires break
out in the Black Oak Industrial Park. The truck has been specially equipped with a 35 foot
extension ladder, which will allow access to the roof of the buildings in the industrial
park. Kevin Cornette said the $132,000 truck was built by Central States Fire Apparatus
and is a Class A pumper/tanker. In addition to the ladder, the truck is equipped with a
1,250 gallon-per-minute pump, access ladders, lights, a 1,000 gallon tank and a 25 gallon

injured Sunday afternoon in a single motorcycle accident on the AA Highway near the

into a 166-foot skid. Kallmyer was wearing protective gear and was not seriously injured.
